If you watch a lot of YouTube, you are most likely very familiar with NuMe. They're constantly being promoted by some of the big beauty vloggers, such as Shaaanxo, Lauren Curtis etc. All of this promotion definitely put it heavily on my radar and I was so keen to get my hands on some of their hair tools. They do these amazing sets that have interchangeable wands in all sorts of shapes. Luckily NuMe actually approached me asking if I wanted to try out one of their hair tools, so I went for the 32mm Classic Curling Wand* - something I've had my eye on for a while!
I've used a variety of different hair tools in my time and been through a few curling wands and other curling sets. As I naturally have relatively straight hair, I never find myself actually wearing it straight as I prefer a soft wave/curl in my hair. Isn't it always the way that if you have curly hair you want it straight, and if it's straight, you want it curly?!
So is the hype worth it for NuMe products? Whilst I've only tried one thing from them, I have to say I am impressed and have been using this every day since I got it - no word of a lie! This wand shape and thickness is exactly what I was after to give my hair a natural soft and bouncy curl, instead of something tighter.
The product comes in a cylindrical box, with the wand, some information, and a heat proof glove inside. Because NuMe is US based, also included in my order was an adapter to change the outlet to fit New Zealand plugs. They ship to many countries worldwide so they will include whatever fitting you need according to where it is being shipped.
This wand comes in three colours, Black, Turquoise and Pink and is also available in other sizes: the 25mm and the 19mm, for all your curling wants and needs. Obviously, the smaller the diameter the tighter the curl will be. The barrel has a tourmaline-infused coating which assists in providing even heat distribution, and less damage to the hair overall. As a word of warning, this thing gets HOT, up to about 200 degrees C, which is great for styling the hair as it keeps the curl in place all day, but not so nice for the fingers (I have burnt myself one too many times, so use the provided glove as a precaution).
This wand costs USD $139.00 (about NZD $197), but I have a couple of coupon codes you can use to get a crazy discount off the wands and tools. Use the code ITSONLY70 for 70% off your wand and free shipping (would make this one only about USD $40!). For 50% off all hair tools and free shipping use the code HAIRTOOLS50, because as well as curlers, NuMe has hair straighteners and dryers!
