It wouldn't be a month without sharing the contents of the latest Lust Have It Women's Beauty Box*. The November box was very makeup heavy which I liked, and the December box looks like it has an even spread of makeup items and skincare products. LHI is an Australian based subscription service for Australia and New Zealand, offering at least 5 sample or full sized products from a variety of brands for only $19.95 a month (plus shipping).
You might notice I'm a product short from the usual minimum of 5 and, unfortunately, this month the Sasy N Savy Hand Cream (RRP $15-20, 40ml) was left out of the box. We were sent an email about it a few weeks before this box arrived which I was glad to have the heads up - luckily though it will be included in the January box (that should be arriving soon apparently!) Overall in the December Beauty Box there are four full sized items (counting the hand cream), and one deluxe sample size.
Naobay Moisturizing Peeling Brightening Facial Milk Scrub | RRP $27.00 (100ml)
I'm always keen to try out new facial scrubs and this one sounds intriguing. Naobay is a Spanish brand that uses mostly natural and organic ingredient (I say mostly as this scrub contains 98.82% natural ingredients) and doesn't test on animals. This sounds to be a mixture of a peel and scrub in one, to help remove impurities and surface cells. It has a really pleasant smell to it, which I think would be the shea butter in it and the scrubbing particles seem to be very small and relatively gentle on the skin.
Essenzza Fuss Free Naturals Micellar Cleansing Wipes | RRP $2.25 (8 mini wipes)
This brand of wipes have made an appearance in a past bag and they were pretty good if I remember correctly. These I imagine will be even better as they are soaked with Micellar Water which is a lot gentler and more effective at removing makeup. This little pack is ideal for the handbag or travelling with and I'll definitely be making my way through these - I'll do a full review of them in an Empties post.
Be A Bombshell Eyeshadow Quad in Sydney | RRP $22.00 (4.8g)
I've actually already got one of these quads which came in a Violet Box (no longer operating) way back in June 2014. I didn't really rate the quality that highly, and this one seems to be about the same. There are four shades; 2 matte (medium brown and a light cream), and two shimmers (pastel olive and a terracotta orange). The terracotta shade is the most pigmented of the bunch and actually looks quite stunning. The mattes are pretty good, but the let down is the olive which didn't really show up at all - no matter how hard I swatched.
Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil | RRP $24.50 (1.4g)
Funnily enough, this was another product I already have that I received in the July 2014 Violet Box. I don't reach for it all that much but on occasions I'll use it when I want a really crisp and defined brow, drawing this along the bottom edge and then blending it down onto the brow bone. You can also use it for around the lips if you're wearing a bright or dark colour to create sharper lines.
The December box has an overall value of around AUD $91.00 (including the Hand Cream), so for the $19.95 plus $2.95 shipping you pay you can't really complain! If you would like $5 off your first box you can use the code CASSMYEE1 and try out an LHI subscription for yourself.
Did you receive the December box? Or, have you tried any of these brand or products before?
