EMPTIES | December '15 - Rimmel, Moreish, Holistic Hair, Benefit, Maybelline - CassandraMyee

It's almost the end of December (and the end of 2015 for that matter), so it's time for the monthly round up of products I used up during the past month. As always there's a lot of skincare, and only a few makeup items - I think in the New Year I need to make a conscious effort to use up more of my makeup, before buying new things - who's with me on that?! But for now let's crack into some reviews...

EMPTIES | December '15 - Rimmel, Moreish, Holistic Hair, Benefit, Maybelline, The Body Shop, Garnier - CassandraMyee

Maybelline Eye + Lip Makeup Remover [x2]
No surprises here that I have a couple bottles of this makeup remover in the mix - it seems to be a running thing that I get through two of these a month. It's such a great product though; it doesn't sting or irritate and it removes eye makeup with ease. I will continuously keep repurchasing it.

Moreish Liberation Foaming Cleanser*
I finally made my way through this bottle of cleanser and I've been trying to use it every evening. As cleansers go I did enjoy it and it definitely helped to clean excess makeup and dirt off my face, but the foaming aspect was a little drying, so it's perfect for oily/combination skin. I reviewed a few more items from the Moreish line up, which you can read here.

The Body Shop Seaweed Clarifying Toner
Another of my favourites that I will always have a bottle of is this toner. I find it removes any excess makeup I might have missed in the cleansing stage but it isn't too drying or stripping on the skin.. The Seaweed range is really great if you have combination skin like myself; I really recommend it.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Wipes*
Wipes are something I always have in my skincare drawer, I don't use them often (well I do if I'm taking a lot of swatch photos!), but for travelling or staying over at someone's place for a night they come in very handy. These ones I really liked as they were just as effective as the Micellar Cleansing Water in the bottle, but with the convenience of a wipe. They're non-drying and removes makeup easily - I'll definitely buy these wipes again.

Holistic Hair Sea Spray Natural Curl Spray
I've had this tucked away in my cupboard for so long now, and it was pretty much empty so decided to throw it out. I got this way back in the day in a Sample Bar box in December 2013 (see it here), so it was probably well over due being thrown away! This didn't do a whole lot of curl enhancing for me as my hair is pretty straight, but it added a bit of texture and oomph to the hair, plus the smell was amazing, very fresh of lavender and lime.

Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder in Transparent
As you can see there is absolutely none of this powder left! I had hit pan on it a while back and it was slowly getting closer and closer to the outside, so when I packed it to take it with me to Christchurch early in the month I opened my makeup bag to find it had finally shattered - insert crying face emoji here. I bought another one as soon as possible because I love this powder for setting my makeup and keeping the oiliness at bay. It's also great for touch ups during the day.

Benefit Stay Don't Stray Primer
I have a couple of these little mini Stay Don't Stray's and might need to get the full size once I get through them because it does such a great job on the eyelids. The consistency is light and has a slight skin-toned tint to it and it blends out easily Once on the lids it really does a great job at prolonging shadows and liners, while also enhancing the colours and pigments of whatever shadow I use over top.

Maybelline Define-A-Lash Mascara
Throwing out this mascara was long over due but a difficult one, because sadly it's been discontinued. This was my go-to for my bottom lashes and the wand and formula made it easy to coat all the little bottom lashes without smearing or smudging everywhere. If anyone knows of a good dupe for this, I'd love to know!

What products did you finish up this month?

P.S. This will be my last post for 2015, and I'll be taking a week off over New Years. Posts will resume on January 6th! Hope you all have a safe and happy New Years!
