I don't know if you can believe it because I certainly can't - it's the end of September today, which means there's only 3 more months left of 2015 *insert shocked blue faced emoji*. That scary prospect aside, here are the products I was really loving during the past month.
Maybelline Dr. Rescue Gel Effect Top Coat*
As nail top coats go I was a devotee of the Seche Vite one, but sadly have been without it for a wee while yet and haven't had a chance to repurchase another bottle of it. Thankfully this new-ish offering from Maybelline is doing a great job at fulfilling my top coat needs. Although I don't think it gives a complete 'gel effect', it does leave the nails looking very shiny and it really locks in the nail colour. I get a few extra days of non-chipping when I use it, and that is something you can't complain about.
L'Oreal Lip Liner Couture by Colour Riche in 302 Bois De Rose*
If you follow me on Snapchat (cassandramyee is my username), you would notice I have been wearing the same lip colour in many of my selfies - and this is the one I've been using practically every day. It is the perfect shade; a little bit darker than my natural lip colour but still natural, it's creamy but also a little stiff so you can get great definition and it lasts all day!
Tarte Tartelette Collectors Edition Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Celebrated
I adore these Tarte Blushes and many shades have cropped up in various Most Loved over the years. I bought this back in May (see the haul with a swatch of the colour here), sadly I'm not 100% sure if it's still available but it is the most gorgeous natural pink shade that I've been reaching for most days, plus the packaging looks gorgeous too.
L'Oreal Miss Manga Mega Volume Mascara in Black*
Although I am heavily addicted to my HG of mascara's the Too Faced Better Than Sex one, this month I have been changing it up and reaching for this one quite a bit. I wasn't sure how much I was going to like it after reading mixed reviews on it from the UK bloggers, but I think as mascara's go this one does a great job. It adds a lot of volume and dimension to the lashes, not a whole lot of length but for an everyday mascara I really like it. It gives the lashes a real fluttery effect. The wand does take a bit of getting used to due to the 360 degree movement, which might put people off, but don't knock it until you've tried it a couple of times!
Blotterazzi by beautyblender*
As someone with oily skin, I constantly need to powder or use blotting papers during the day, especially during the warmer months, and this new product from beautyblender has proved to be a bit of a magical one. I heard Claire Marshall (from the YouTube channel heyclaire) talk about this in one of her recent videos and then only a week later a parcel turned up from Beauty Bliss with this inside for me to try. Inside the cute compact are two thin bright pink sponges, that act as blotting paper, removing oil from the skin but not disturbing your makeup. They don't make me completely matte, which is often a more natural look anyway, but they do an amazing job to eliminate the greasy looking shine from my t-zone area. This now lives in my handbag, and I love that they are washable and usable.
