M.A.C sure know how to do limited edition collections that are always heavily coveted. The new Haute Dogs Collection launched in NZ on Monday and it is packed with some gorgeous products, all in natural, dog inspired shade.

I was sent two items from the collection to try - Mineralize Eye Shadow x4 in Posh Pedigree* (RRP $115.00) and a Mineralize Glass in Lap Dog* (RRP $58.00). I already know that M.A.C do great eyeshadows, but I've not tried any from their mineralize range. The x4 palettes are available in three different shades, Pure Bred and A Glimmer of Gold (such great names). The quality of the shadows are very nice as expected; they're not as pigmented as you might think, but they feel silky and soft, and blend so well onto the eyes and the pigment can be built up to really intensify them. The shades in Posh Pedigree are described as: white lemon, dirty grey, charcoal greenish grey and deep olive green.
As well as five shades in the Mineralize Rich Lipstick range, there are also four Mineralize Glass's in a variety of shades. I was sent Lap Dog, a pale light pink nude, which is a shade I absolutely love. It has quite a bit of shimmer through it, but that just helps in making the lips look a bit fuller. The pigmentation is very nice and it works well layered over many other nude lipsticks shades. I was pleased to find this isn't very sticky or gloopy feeling like many other glosses, so it gets a big tick from me! It also has a strong sweet vanilla scent to it, which might not be to everyone's liking but I don't mind it at all!
