One makeup product I can't get enough of is blush, particularly the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12hr Blushes, which I discovered early last year and feel in love with. These blushes are some of the best out there, so when I saw the limited edition Sweet Dream Mini Set released for Christmas 2014, I was beyond excited and desperate to get my hands on it. Luckily enough I went to the US at the end of November last year and found the set at Macy's and ran with it to the till!
The blushes are adorable, I think any of us beauty lovers would be partial to anything that you can get in mini form. The set comes with four mini sized blushes that are 1.5g each, compared to the full sized which are 5.6g. Personally I think this smaller size is a better way to buy them, you get to try a bunch of different shades, and let's be honest, who is going to get through an entire pan of a single blush colour?!
The Sweet Dreams set came with four limited editions shades that unfortunately aren't available in the bigger pans. There's a beautiful range of shades though, and they all seem to be pretty much matte, with a hint of shimmer in Armour. As I mentioned earlier I love this blush formula; they have amazing pigmentation, so you only need a light dab in the pan with a blush brush to have ample colour and they go onto the cheeks easily and blend out well. These last a lot longer on my cheeks than other blushes I use, but I'm yet to reach the full 12 hours that they claim!
It is probably very mean of me to talk about this set as it was released last year as part of the Tarte Holiday Collection, but you might still be lucky enough to find it around if you live in the US. But I have reviewed two other shades from the permanent line, Tipsy and Amused, which you can see here.
Did you get this Holiday set? Have you got any of the Amazonian Clay Blushes?
