ZA COSMETICS | Gel + Liquid Eyeliners - Review + Swatches

ZA COSMETICS // Gel + Liquid Eyeliners | Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

2014 was a good year of makeup discoveries and getting the chance to try out a lot of different beauty brands. Za Cosmetics was one of those brands and the products I've used so far have really impressed. I was recently sent a few of the Gel Eyeliners* and Liquid Eyeliner* to try out, and one of these in particular has become a total favourite of mine.

The liners come packaged very simply, just in a plastic sachet style. As much as I do love a nicely and very fancy packaged product, these are no fuss with no excess or useless packaging. These liners were part of the same release as the Brow Liners, which I reviewed a month or so ago, have a read of them here.

GEL EYELINERS in Real Black + Deep Brown // RRP NZD $17.00 each
I am usually a liquid and kohl pencil kind of gal and haven't ventured into the gel liner side of the fence. I feel that this was a perfect introduction to gel liners; they're in twist up pencil form which makes them easy to apply and there is no fuss with pots or brushes etc. They glide on very easily with opaque colour, but they set down within about 30 seconds. Within that space of time you can smudge them out, which I love to do with the Deep Brown shade along the top of my lash line. The black is great for under the eye and waterline because once they set, they really don't budge.

LIQUID EYELINER in Real Black // RRP NZD $20.00
I mentioned before that one of these became a massive favourite of mine, and this is it. I love these type of liquid liners in the first place, so I was glad to find this one is one of the best I have used. The nib isn't too stiff and is actually made of tiny bristles which gives it a good amount of flexibility. The colour is super rich and black in pretty much one swipe, but I do go over it a couple of times to really intensify the colour and sharpen up the line (it's always hard to get it straight on the first go!) It lasts all day on my pretty much hooded lids, with no transferring or smudging.

If you're in the market for some new eye liners, check these out because I think for the price these are spot on! You can find Za beauty products at pharmacies around NZ and also online via. Makeup Direct. You can also find Za internationally (stockists here).
