Carousel Cosmetics might be quite a foreign brand to all of you, but let me introduce you to it, because it deserves a lot of love! Carousel was started by the lovely ladies who run the online beauty store in NZ, Beauty Bliss. They stock lots of well known brands, such as Lime Crime, Sleek, NYX, e.l.f. etc, and I've talked about them a few times on CM before. I was sent two of the Carousel lipsticks to try out, and if you are interested in more Indie style makeup brands, or just like to try some new brands, this will be right up your alley.
I was sent two shades, Bite Me and Tint, both very different to one another. The lipsticks come housed in a very solid and weighty black tube that feels a lot more expensive than they are. Bite Me is a super vibrant orange-red, it goes on really pigmented and smooth, with even colour application. Tint, on the other hand, looks like a very dark purple in the tube but as the name might suggest, it is simply a tint of sheer colour. It can go on extremely sheer, or you can build it up to the colour in the swatch. I really love the shade as I find it is a more wearable 'every day' style colour and it's a good way to introduce yourself to more purple toned lipsticks.
The lipsticks are NZD $19.00 each, and there are around eight different shades to choose from. Beauty Bliss ship to NZ and also over to Australia.
