I think you would have all seen this coming if you read yesterday's post in which I shared my end of month review for the LHI November Women's Beauty Box*. Today I bring you the December Women's Beauty Box* (yes, I do realise it is January. these boxes always tend to run a month behind), and give you some initial thoughts on the products inside.
I am very excited that they have changed the bag colour this month. I was stacking up the pink bags and handing them off to people as much as I could, but I love the colour change and hopefully they will change it very month. The December box came with five products, four that are full sized and one that is a deluxe sample size.
Designer Brands Extend A Brow Instant Brow Volumiser in Light Medium // [RRP $12.99 (1.5g)]
The first thought I had when I opened this was that it was a Benefit Gimme Brow type of product, but on further reading it is only slightly similar to Gimme Brow. This is quite an interesting product and the tube is filled with silky fibres that you simply brush through the brows to help fill them out and make them look thicker. I am very intrigued by this product and can't wait to try it out!
Inika Pure Primer // [RRP $60.00 (50ml)]
We had an Inika product a couple of boxes ago and it was really nice. I can't wait to use this primer, as I am a bit of a primer fiend. This is an exclusive 30ml sample of primer that contains 81% certified organic ingredients. I'll be interested to see how well this makes my makeup last!
The Cosmetic Kitchen Raw Chocolate Clay Mask // [RRP $24.95 (50g)]
This brand is popping up very frequently in the LHI boxes, but this time around we get to sample some of their skincare products. This is a big sachet of powder that you mix 1 teaspoon of the mask mixture with avocado and olive oil then apply it to the face. I quite like the concept but it might be a little messy and there is no way to actually reseal the bag once you have used the 1 teaspoon.
The Cosmetic Kitchen Raw Chocolate Bath Salts // [RRP $18.50 (200g)]
If I was a bath person I would be all over these but I really just never have a bath. These sounds lovely though, who wouldn't want to bath in raw chocolate?! These salts are made to be a great antioxidant to block free radicals. I think I will need to pass these on to someone who likes a good bath.
Lonvitalite C1 Mask // [RRP $9.95 (25ml)]
If you read yesterday's post you'll realise I really am not a fan of sheet masks and half the time they don't sit or fit on my face very well. This one does sound like it would be great for the skin and is aimed at whitening and toning pigment on the skin and hydrate the skin as well. I will definitely give this a go, but I already have pretty low expectations, hopefully this one might change my mind!
First impressions of products is mixed, when I opened it I wasn't really blown away by the contents but the makeup items look like they could be really great. The overall value of the products received is approximately $103, so for a service that is AUD $19.95 a month, you can't really complain about that! If you would like to try this service out, it is available for NZ and Australia and you can use the code CASSMYEE to get $5.00 off your first box.
Did you get the December Box? What do you think about the contents for this month?
