Finally they are here... the USA hauls! I've been hinting at these since I got back at the end of November that I had done a lot of shopping damage while on a family trip to San Francisco and Seattle, and today kicks off with #001. I did a shit load heck of a load of shopping in the space of a week because, a) #treatyoself, b) #feelingspendy, and c) the prices over there are so much better than they are in NZ, hence why I took full advantage of this.
Every single day this week will be a new haul post, I know... that is six days of hauls! It will include the drugstores, Nordstrom Rack, Macy's, some miscellaneous things, and of course, Sephora (a.k.a. the mothership), among others. I'll also be including product information, pricing, swatches and first impressions where I can (as I always try to do), so it's not simply "look at all the things I got". To kick off the week, I'm starting with the cheaper end of the scale; the drugstores, in particular Target and Walgreens.

EOS Feel Good. Do Good Set // USD $5.28 - Bed Bath + Beyond
So this pack wasn't technically from your typical 'drugstores' but I was very surprised to find that Bed Bath + Beyond actually had an extensive range of beauty items for sale! This set grabbed me straight away and it includes the Pomegranate Raspberry Smooth Sphere Lip Balm, Limited Edition Strawberry Sorbet Smooth Stick Lip Balm and the Berry Blossom Hand Lotion. I really love the EOS balms, and it is no surprise that the stick balm is just as good. The hand lotion smells amazing, and is also very moisturising, plus the packaging is compact and great for my handbag.
EOS Visibly Soft Lip Balm Sphere in Coconut Milk // USD $2.99 - Bed Bath + Beyond
I couldn't resist this one, purely due to the different packaging, and the scent sounded really nice. Although I don't think these are the most moisturising of lip balms, they do work well for a quick application and they smell amazing too!
e.l.f. Studio Complexion Brush // USD $3.00 - Target
I love the e.l.f. brushes, and I use this particular one everyday for bronzer, so I decided to replace it with a brand new one. They are super soft, wash as good as new, and despite the cheap price tag work just as well as some of my more expensive brushes.
L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Foundation in Neutral Classic Ivory N2 // USD $10.99 - Target
I'd heard a lot of great things about this foundation but wasn't prepared to spend the $40 NZD on it, so getting it for a quarter of that price made it a lot more enticing. I haven't got around to using it, so I am hoping the shade will be all right for my skin tone; there was a very extensive range of shades available and ranged from cool, neutral and warm undertones. The only annoying thing about the US versions is that it doesn't come with a pump!
L'Oreal Color Infallible Eye Shadow in 892 Amber Rush // USD $8.59 - Target
I have a fair few of these in my stash as I absolutely love them! They are a semi-pressed pigments, that go on with an amazing metallic sheen to them and are heavily pigmented. You can see some of my reviews for other shades including, Tender Caramel, Pepsy Coral + Naughty Strawberry and Cosmic Black. I'm pretty sure this shade isn't available in NZ and is one that is constantly raved about!
Sonia Kashuk Beauty Organiser Houndstooth Print // USD $24.99 - Target
This was basically love at first sight, and is all I could want from a makeup bag! It has two bags that velcro out from one side, a place in the middle for brushes or palettes, and the other side has a clear, large zip up compartment. This came in very handy travelling back to pack in all the new makeup I bought!
Maybelline Dr. Rescue Medicated Balm 2-Pack // USD $8.99 - Walgreens
I have the shade Berry Soft from the Dr. Rescue range and love it to bits (see it in my Most Loved September), so definitely wanted to grab a couple more. This two pack was a great deal and comes with the shades/scents Too Cool and Coral Crave. These are really moisturising and have a nice menthol, minty smell to them.
Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in 05 Fresh Pink // USD $8.99 - Walgreens
I've been eyeing up these blushes every time I look on drugstore.com, so finally bought one! This is a lovely soft pink shade, with a hint of shimmer but nothing to out there. It has the strangest texture to it and it does actually feel bouncy when you touch it! It is almost a cream/powder hybrid type product; I've used it a few times and have been really enjoying it.
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick in 670 Ravishing Rose // USD $6.99 - Target
These had just been released in the States, so I knew I had to get one because who knows when they will be released in NZ! The colour of this is gorgeous and it feels very creamy on the lips, but it doesn't have that matte, drying texture to it.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer in Light + Brightener // USD $9.79 each - Walgreens + Target
This concealer was at the top of my to-buy list as I am almost out of my one in the shade Light. I also went for the Brightener as I had seen great things about it, plus wanted to stock up as this is my favourite concealer for under the eyes. It does an amazing job at covering dark circles and it stays put all day without creasing on me.
The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipsticks in 335 Hot Date + 225 Blushing Pink // USD $12.50 each - The Body Shop
This isn't technically 'drugstore', but it fits in well with this lot. I was very excited to grab some products from TBS, as I love their Seaweed skincare range (you'll see more on that later in the week) and when I went in they had buy three, get three free, so I went to town! I picked out these two lipstick shades, a nice berry and then a typical 'Cass' pink shade. These are almost $30 each to buy in NZ, so it's a huge price difference, even with the price conversion! The craziest thing (and my biggest not-buying regret) was that the Advent Calendar was only USD $50.00, and it was priced at $250 here in NZ - just utterly nuts!
Wet N Wild Mega Last Lipsticks // USD $2.49 each - Walgreens
Finally my last drugstore buys were some more of the amazing Wet N Wild lipsticks. I was actually surprised that they didn't have the best colour range and I couldn't find a couple that were on my list to buy, but neither the less I did pretty well. These are insanely pigmented and the swatches show only one swipe! If you need some new lipsticks, look no further than these ones!
And that wraps up the drugstore lot of products! I know most of these products can be bought online from Beauty Joint or drugstore.com, but it was great being able to see the products and buy them without the high shipping prices; hopefully this will keep me going for a while!
