As I am sat here taking a lot of blog photos of the products sent over by PR companies and brands (which I am so thankful), and bits that I have bought myself, I was struck by this overwhelming sensation to write out some thoughts that I have been having for a while about the judgements passed on those who love makeup and own a lot of it.

This week just gone flew by with a mix of packing, blogging, studying and binging on reality show Fashion Bloggers (very good, highly recommend). My Instagram was a busy one, and I hit 1000 followers which I was beyond excited about, so thank you to anyone who follows me! Excitement aside, here is your weekly update of what I posted on CM this week.

Isn't it funny just how scary a single number can seem? I remember turning 18 and thinking, wow I am getting really old. At that point I was in my final year at school and was about to venture to university the following year. Then it seemed like a huge change; new experiences, leaving the security of school, my family and my close group of friends, trading it in for the halls, meeting lots of new people and learning what real study (and real drinking...) would be like. Now it's seven years later and here I am turning 25. Twenty-five. I mean, that sounds quite old right?

January kicked off as quite an exciting month, mostly down to the fact that I got an iPhone 6, and it was love at first sight! Because of that my Instas have improved a lot in the overall photo quality compared to my previous phone (Samsung Galaxy S3; still a great phone, don't get me wrong!), and I love the quality of the camera and the phone in general! It's the end of December, and the end of 2015, so what better time to do my round up of Instagram posts from the past month.

Seeing as I shared an entire week of hauls from my week long trip to America (see them here), I thought it would also be fitting to share some of my touristy snaps that I took along the way. This is very photo heavy, so if you have any questions on where or what some of the photos are, just ask me in the comments. The first lot of pictures were taken in San Francisco, where we spent a short two days, and the last lot are from Seattle (which I loved) and we spent about four or so days there exploring, shopping and seeing the sights.

October was a seriously busy month, I had a lot going on with travel (a trip to Wellington and then to Auckland the following weekend), as well as finishing off my final essays and doing my last ever exams! I was snap happy via my Instagram, so here are some photos from the month of October.

On Wednesday, my family and I ventured up to Auckland to see Michael Bublé in concert at the Vector Arena. My sister flew from Wellington to meet us in Auck as well; the tickets were our Christmas presents and excitement levels were pretty high. I hadn't been up in Auckland for a wee while, we have family up there that we visit loads and I love going up - especially for the great shopping (CHCH really is lacking in the shopping department ATM). This is a mix of phone pictures and ones from my SLR; unfortunately one of the days I walked out of the hotel to have a venture around Britomart, SLR in tow, to find I had left my memory card in my computer #camerafail, so Instagram and phone pics had to suffice.

Say farewell to April because May is just around the corner, so that means I need to round up all my Instagram's from the month [warning: there is a lot of cake]. April was a great month, it was my birthday at the start, my Dad's birthday in the middle, we had Easter, my sister was home and it just generally was great!

February really hurried along, perhaps because there isn't so many days, or I was just doing lots of fun thing [not really] but my Instagram feed was packed with photos - a total of 31 to be exact.
