If you live outside of NZ and Australia, you are probably wondering what the heck is Mecca?! And no it isn't the Mecca in Saudi Arabia, but the beauty Mecca! Basically, Mecca Cosmetica and Mecca Maxima are the Australasian equivalents to Sephora - it's as close as we get to having the big beauty names under one roof. I buy from there a lot and absolutely love the selection of brand we have access too through Mecca. Each quarter or season, they release their Beauty Loop boxes across 3 levels depending on how much you spend. I am still at Level 1 but am inching closer to Level 2 (the new Christmas releases will surely tip me over the edge!)
The Beauty Loop boxes are free for those who meet the certain spend limit as per your Mecca account. I did an online order and had the option to add this to my cart from there but you can also collect it in-store without having to make a purchase. (PS. The higher up the levels you go, the better the products get in each box but I am always impressed with what you do get even in the Level 1 box. So let's delve in.
Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Matte Lipstick in Sell Out | RRP NZD $33 (7ml)
I am a huge fan of matte liquid lipsticks and this shade has my name all over it! I am yet to try out this formula though so I am stoked to have this really generous 2.3ml deluxe sample to try out. From the swatch, it felt really soft and smooth to apply, with saturated pigment and a nice dry down.
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner | RRP NZD $35 (0.5ml)
I already own this in the full sized and love it. It is one of my go-to's if I wanna do some liquid liner. The colour is a true black and really dense. It applies easily and lasts for ages on my lids. This is a great size at half of the full-sized (0.25ml).
The final two products are just one use foil sachets which I don't mind getting, particularly as this is just a bonus! Featured in the Level 1 Beauty Loop is the Kate Somerville Cold Cream Moisturising Cleanser + Makeup Remover (full sized RRP NZD $76) and the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores (full sized RRP NZD $43 for 100ml). I will pop these with my skincare products to try out soon.
I was really pleased with the Level 1 Beauty Loop contents, especially the Too Faced Melted which I know is going to become a fast favourite. If you are in NZ, make sure to head in-store or online to claim your own box if you meet the criteria!
