BELLABOX | December 2017 - Unboxing + Thoughts

BELLA BOX | December 2017 - Unboxing + Thoughts - CassandraMyee

You may have seen the news that popular Australian beauty subscription service BellaBox is now available in New Zealand! They launched in November 2017 (see the first box here), and today I'll be sharing the second box that came out in December. I think this one is even better than the last!

BELLA BOX | December 2017 - Unboxing + Thoughts - CassandraMyee

The theme for the December box* was Festive and Fabulous. Inside there were five products and one sample sachet (Zuii Organic Certified Organic Primer); most of them from brands I have heard of before and a nice split of skincare, haircare and makeup.

Styl London Eyeshadow Palette in Bond | $17.00 via. stylondon.com
One thing I really like about BellaBox is the ability to chose what shade or type of a certain product that will be included in that month's box. Before they sent out the December one they asked the members to fill out a form with their preferences on what palette they would like to receive. There were three others to chose from; Carnaby (looks like an Urban Decay Naked Palette dupe), Piccadilly (warm, red and bronze tones) and Sloane (cooler toned neutrals). I went for Bond as it looked as though the shades would be ideal for me and I wasn't wrong!

I'd not heard of Styl London before so did some research about the brand - they launched in 2015 by the department store in the UK, Harvey Nichols. They have a small and slightly random mix of products; these palettes, some silicon sponges, henna and metallic tattoos, flower lipsticks/balms, fake nails and false lashes. The palette packaging is quite cheap feeling and very plasticy if you get what I mean but I think the shadows themselves are really nice. The mattes are a bit hit and miss (there are only three in the palette, a cream, a cool toned grey and a black), but the shimmer are very pretty and give a good wash of colour to the lids.

Justice Professional Conditioning Shampoo + Repairing Conditioner | $19.95 each for 300ml via. justcuts.co.nz
I always love getting this sized sort of product, especially shampoos and conditioners because it makes them ideal for travelling with. I've not used these yet but I like the sounds of it and the fact they are designed for coloured hair.

Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream | $38.90 for 50ml via. innisfreeworld.com
This is a very cute sample size pot (10ml) of a facial moisturiser from Innisfree. This is a brand I hear about all the time but have never used their products and this cream looks so dreamy. It is designed to help with anti-ageing, to smooth wrinkles, fine lines, brighten, nourish and tighten the skin using the 'Precious Orchid Elixir'; a powerful antioxidant to help make the skin glow and improve elasticity. It looks and sounds amazing so I will need to try this ASAP!

Prep Original Preppie Rice Scrub | $15.95 for 200g via. prepbod.com
I have never heard of Prep before but their products are all natural and use rice as the main exfoliant. This scrub (this is the 45g bag) is designed to be used on the body, but not the face and claims to help exfoliate, brighten and soften the skin with its key ingredient inositol to help with fine lines, dark spots, stretch marks, and keratosis pilaris (those small red spots/bumps you can get on your arms). It also contains clove oil to help break down keratin in the skin and jojoba oil to aid in hydration and softness. It really does sound amazing. I will start using this and will include it in an Empties in a couple of months to see how I got on with it.

Overall I am very impressed with the December box and excited by the products inside. The total value was around NZD $42, which is nearly double for what you pay for the box. BellaBox can be yours each month for just $24.95 including shipping, more information here.

What do you think of the products inside?
