Have you heard of the brand Go-To Skincare yet?! Well if not, let this be your introduction because I think you will be hearing about this brand a whole lot more! Go-To was founded by Australian beauty editor and author Zoe Foster Blake (married to Hamish Blake from the hilarious duo Hamish & Andy) and she set out to design a skincare line which is cruelty-free and natural with pure and powerful ingredients.
Everything about this brand, I love. The marketing, the packaging, and more importantly, the products, just make you want to keep coming back to them. The line is small (at this stage), but has a good selection of the skincare basics but with a fun twist. There are a few products for the hands and body, as well as the Face Case, a silk pillowcase to keep wrinkles at bay, keep your hair from getting frizzy and also to stop any moisture from your skin being absorbed into your sheets. There is also a range especially for men called Bro-To (isn't that the best name!?) with three simple products, a foaming cleanser, face cream and face oil.
All the products have the distinct peach packaging with quirky names and product descriptions - it is all very well done.
I am a big hand cream lover and am constantly making sure my hands are well moisturised. The Super Handy* (AUD $21) is a fantastic hand cream without the greasiness but packed with good ingredients such as shea butter, macadamia oil and jojoba oil. It smells amazing too which is even better!
Foaming cleansers have a stigma of being quite drying to the skin, but the Properly Clean* (AUD $31) doesn't dry out the skin at all and can be used for all skin types. I have this in my shower currently and it is the most refreshing thing to use in the morning with an amazing scent of ginger, mandarin and lime. It cleanses the skin so well and the mousse feels soft and light on the skin. Foaming Cleansers always tend to last for ages too, so you certainly get your money's worth!
There are two lip balms in the range, Lips! (AUD $15) which is a clear lip balm that soothes and restores dry lips, and the Pinky-Nudey Lips!* (AUD $17) which has the same lip balm formula but with a natural pink finish to it. This feels so nice on the lips with no stickiness and it stays around for hours. The colour is a soft pink nude (no duh) which is that your lips but better sort of tone with a delicious pomegranate scent. This one also has an SPF of 15 in it with ingredients like lanolin, shea butter, beeswax, apricot kernel oil, sweet almond oil and evening primrose. They don't joke around when they say this is a super balm!
The last product I have been trailing is the Face Hero* (AUD $45) that has 10 potent plant and nut oils in the perfect ratio to help a myriad of skin concerns. This is liquid gold in a bottle and my skin has been loving it. This would work on all skin types too, not just those with dry skins like you might think. You can use this morning and night as it actually soaks into the skin so quickly you can get away with it in the morning under makeup. The ingredient list is impressive, with almond oil, jojoba oil, macadamia oil. brazil nut oil, evening primrose oil, buriti oil, arnica oil, rosehip oil, calendula oil, and kiwifruit seed oil.
Go-To Skincare is only available online through their website here, but they offer international shipping, so we can all have some Go-To in our lives. I had a feeling I would like this brand but now I love it and have been so impressed by these four products I am currently using.
