A GUIDE TO ANTIPODES SERUMS + OILS

A GUIDE TO ANTIPODES SERUMS - CassandraMyee

If you are after beautiful natural skincare, look no further than Antipodes. NZ born brand, Antipodes is now world renowned, and highly sought after especially over in the UK! I have used a number of products from the brand, and to be honest there hasn't been anything I have used that I've disliked. They have an extensive range of oils and serums so I thought I would do a breakdown of each one so you can find a good match for your skin.

I feel as though some people think oils are quite a scary thing to use - I have definitely thought that they would not work for me as my skin tends to be oily enough. The thing is oils can be so beneficial for all skin types, from the oiliest to the driest of skins and Antipodes have a serum to suit most skin types and concerns. All of their products are certified organic and approved by the Vegetarian Society.

WATER BASED SERUMS
These serums are perfect for dry skin, adding instant hydration, are antioxidant rich and sink into the skin easily.

Hosanna H2O Intensive Skin-Plumping Serum* - This one helps to quench thirsty skin and boost collagen. It is proven to boost Type I collagen by around 72%. Ingredients include antioxidant Vinanza Grapes from NZ sauvignon blanc grapes to protect and build resistance to damage from pollution and the environemtn, and there's also mamaku black fern to help cell renewal. This one feels amazing on the skin, especially when I am feeling a bit dry.

Apostle Skin-Brightening Serum* - As the name suggests this is one for brightening dull, and blemished skin. If you have a lot of acne scarring and pigmentation, this is the one for you. This one also has Vinanza Grape in it as well as Kiwi to help minimise redness. Vinanza Oxifend from pinot noir grapes aid in brightening and giving the skin a gorgeous glow. Mamuka black fern and Reishi mushroom boost cell renewal.

Worship Skin Defense Antioxidant Serum* - This is a great one for those wanting to prevent and protect from the early signs of ageing. Worship contains organic skin booster ingredients such as NZ grown superfruits that have high concentrations of anti-ageing antioxidant; boysenberry, blackcurrant and kiwifruit, as well as Vinanza Grape.

OIL-BASED SERUMS
The oil-based serums are very nourishing for the skin, they balance out oils produced by the skin and leave you looking fresh and dewy. I prefer to use oil based serums in the evening as they can be a bit too slippery under makeup.

Chia + Kiwi Seed Superfood Serum* - This is an all-rounder that helps to moisturise dry skin, while also being able to balance oily skin. Chia seed oil is a superfood that has a lot of essential fatty acids to lock in moisture. Kiwifruit seed oil is very nutrient rich also.

Divine Face Oil Organic Avocado + Rosehip* - For more mature skin, this one helps to address the signs of ageing and helps boost collagen. This is a superior blend of avocado oil to reduce the appearance of line, age spots and scarring. Rosehip is something we should all be using in our skincare routines - it has high levels of Vitamin A and C and essential fatty acids to help reduce scarring and wrinkles.

Joyous Protein-Rich Night Replenish Serum* - If you have dry and mature skin, this one is for you. It helps to restore elastin in the skin and also provide a lot of moisture. Ingredients include Himalayan goji berry which has 19 amino acids to optimise the skin's appearance. There's also red raspberry seed oil, NZ blackcurrant and South Pacific hibiscus flower to provide a lovely scent and also are a rich source of essential fats.

As you can see from the above 6 serums, these are all supercharged and jam-packed with so many amazing ingredients for the skin. Out of the six, I find my favourites are the Chia + Kiwi Seed Superfood Serum and Hosanna. In NZ the serums start at about NZD $29.50.
