It's that time again where I share with you all my Most Loved products from the past month. April whizzed by so quickly and I can't fathom that it is now the first of May and it's nearly a month since my birthday! I couldn't really pinpoint a whole lot of products as most I have featured in previous months and they continue to be in my makeup rotation, but there are some new additions which have me really impressed me and I've been reaching for them a lot.
Guerlain Mon Guerlain Eau De Parfum*
With Angelina Jolie as a muse for this perfume, it's no surprise that it is absolutely gorgeous, in bottle design and in scent. I have found myself using this a whole lot and I love that the scent lingers on the skin throughout the day. The main notes/ingredients are Carla Lavender from France, Vanilla Tahitensis, Sambac Jasmine and Album Sandalwood. It's very feminine and unique from other fragrances I own and it's definitely one of those special ones that will be a favourite for many years to come.
Estée Lauder Double Wear Light Stay-In-Place Makeup in Intensity 01*
It takes a lot for me to love a foundation one first use, generally, I need a few wears to get a feel for it and how it sits on my skin throughout the day. As soon as I applied this one, I knew we were going to get along. A couple months back I was treated to a breakfast event with Estee Lauder to find my 'Double Wear Wardrobe' and they shade matched us for each of the Double Wear Range. I had heard great things about the Double Wear foundation and the Light version too, and they have proven to live up to the hype. I like Double Wear Light for everyday wear as it still gives you medium/full coverage which blends well on the skin and I find it doesn't sink into fine lines, nor does it start to break up or move around throughout the day. If you have oily/combo skin, this might be your new favourite foundation!
YSL Radiant Touch/Touche Éclat*
This is another cult beauty product that I have only been using this year, but oh man do I love it. First off the YSL packaging is so luxe and I feel like I am living out my childhood fantasy of having all of this fancy makeup. There are a lot of misconceptions with how this should be used, but the way I have been using it is under the eyes, either on its own or topped over a concealer (if I have particularly dark circles) and I find it adds some colour corrector and also brightness to the area. It blends out so easily, with a light formula. The brush tip that you click the product into is really nice to use as well. It is just a fabulous product and I can understand why it is such a cult fave.
Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder in Lighter Skin
Following on from three very high end and rather expensive products, here is something that you can buy for under NZD $8 that works beautifully on the skin. The Essence Bronzing Powder comes in two shades, this one for lighter skin, and one that is slightly darker. This is a huge pan so you can swirl your brush in it, but it isn't heavily pigmented so you can get a very natural bronze on the skin. I seriously can't get enough of it and have been reaching for it daily. If you are after a matte bronzer that rivals many of the more expensive ones I have tried then check this out ASAP.
