REVLON X CHLOE MORELLO | Sculpt + Highlight Contour Kit - Review + Swatches

REVLON X CHLOE MORELLO | Sculpt + Highlight Kit - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

Contour kits, much like matte liquid lipsticks, are all the rage at the moment in the beauty world. It started with more high-end brands bringing out larger palettes but it has now trickled down to the affordable brands and we are seeing some pretty amazing kits out there that perform just as well as their higher end counterparts. Revlon has teamed up with one of my favourite beauty YouTubers, Australian Chloe Morello to create their own offering; the Sculpt + Highlighting Kit*, available in 2 shades.

I think it is so smart that brands are now realising the true potential teaming up with an 'influencer' can have and it definitely got me interested in these kits, more so than if they just released them in the range without Chloe. Having someone not affiliated with the brand to create the palettes gives it an edge over others and when you think about how many contouring products Chloe herself has used, she would definitely know what would work and what wouldn't. The kits come in two different shades, 001 Light/Medium and 002 Medium/Tan. Each contains four shades (Banana, Glow, Bronze, and Sculpt) housed in a sturdy plastic packaging with a large mirror, making them travel-friendly, more so than some of the larger contouring palettes. The powders are designed to feel soft and buttery and be very blendable.

LIGHT/MEDIUM
This kit is more suited to my skin tone, although I do use the Medium/Tan sometimes as well for bronzing as it's a bit warmer. As you can see these palettes definitely don't skint on the pigmentation and they do feel very soft, almost too soft as the have a lot of fallout and feel a bit more fragile than other powders. The Banana shade is a pale yellow, great for setting under the eyes and brightening, the Glow shade is a beautiful soft shimmery champagne, the Bronze shade is a warm toned light bronzer for doing the whole face, and the Sculpt shade is a cooler toned shade that works well to create that shadow.

MEDIUM/TAN
This definitely has more warmer tones to suit a deeper skin tone, although I can get away with it on my own sometimes (depends on my tan!) The Banana shade is a bit more yellow toned than the first one and not as pale, the Glow shade has a little more gold shimmer through it (really lovely on the skin), the Bronzer is definitely a step darker and more warm toned, and the Sculpt shade hasn't got quite the coolness as the Light/Medium which makes sense.

I think the shades are really well thought out and there isn't one in the palette that I wouldn't use, unlike some larger contour palettes I own. The fallout is a little issue, but I find myself still reaching for them as I like how they blend and the shades work well for me. Chloe did a demo on the palette which you can see here.

The Sculpt + Highlight Kits are NZD $30.90 each available at Farmers and pharmacies. They are also available in Australia also.

Have you tried these Contour Kits? Are you a fan of Chloe as well?
