Christmas is creeping up so quickly, I mean this time next week it will be Boxing Day! So with that in mind, I thought I would share this great set from Simply Essential that would make a good gift for any makeup lover because one can never have enough makeup brushes (especially if they are rose gold!)
There are gift sets galore this Christmas and I feel like each year there are more and more available, and the choice can be overwhelming especially if you don't know what the quality is like, or if it really is good value for money. Simply Essential only launched this year through The Beauty Collective/My Beauty Store and their brushes are affordable to the NZ market and are great quality. I've reviewed a few of their brushes here, and the new gift sets are a great way to get a few brushes at a discounted price. This set is the Pro Series Ultimate Eye Brushes*, containing five brushes that will have your makeup looking fabulous for the festive season.
The set not only comes with the five brushes, but it also has this travel-friendly rose gold, metallic brush roll to keep them together. As I mentioned earlier, these brushes are great quality and are made from synthetic bristles, so they wash well and hold their shape as well. I haven't experienced any shedding with these brushes and love the simple black handle and rose gold ferrule.
In this brush set, you get the: F6 Flat Concealer, F7 Precision Concealer, F8 Small Highlighter, FE1 Face + Eye Blender, and the FE2 Angled Blender. Although some say they are for concealer, they can obviously be used on the eyes and elsewhere on the skin. You get a good mix of different cuts, one is slanted, one is more fluffy for blending, one is pointed for spot concealing or more accurate detailing on the eyes (great for running shadow on the lower lash line). Overall it's a beautiful set and comes in a nice box with the added brush roll. The brushes are each individually NZD $15.99, but the set is only $54.99, saving you about $30.

There is the Pro Series 3 Piece Brow Essentials Set ($39.99), which comes with a black pouch/clutch, the Pro Series 4 Piece Eye Essentials Set ($39.99) that comes with a metallic gold pouch/clutch, and the Pro Series 3 Piece Contour Essential Set ($45.99) and that comes with a pouch in silver. They are good buying in the sets like this considering the larger brushes are $26.99 each.
