ESTÉE LAUDER | Genuine Glow Collection - Review + Swatches

ESTEE LAUDER | Genuine Glow Collection - Review + Swatches - CassandraMyee

Highlighting, strobing and glow are a massive focus in the beauty industry these days - gone are the overly matte and powdery faces, instead there is a focus on embracing your natural skin, and enhancing it to make your skin look brighter, healthier and with that natural glow (and no, I'm not referring to Suzanne Paul's products from the 90s). Estée Lauder has recently released the Genuine Glow collection, a capsule range of five products only available exclusively from Farmers, and man, are they gorgeous!

This can be used as a moisturiser/primer hybrid, morning and night. I've been using it as the first step after skincare to prime my skin as it has that primer-like feel to it, a bit balmy, a bit thick and it instantly smoothes the skin on application. It is oil-free, and although I can get quite oily I don't find this enhances that, in fact, it gives my skin more of a glow without the shine. I have been using this a lot and reaching for it daily and is a beautiful product for all skin types.

Cream blushes always look a lot more natural on the cheeks, as they are generally quite sheer and give that natural flush. This is exactly what this product does, with the added bonus you can dab it on your lips to add some colour there. It comes in two shades; this lovely soft peach and also Sweet Cheeks, which is more on the pink side. I take this stick and dab a couple dots on the apples and up the cheeks then either use a sponge or my finger to blend it onto the skin. Make sure you do this after foundation and before powder as you want the creams to blend in seamlessly with each other.

It can't be a collection called 'Genuine Glow' without having a nice highlighter in the mix! This is another versatile two in one product that can be used as a highlighter, or used as a light sheen on the lids of the eyes. It has one of those click-up packaging that dispenses the product onto the sponge tip, making it easy to sweep around the face where you might need it. It comes in three shades; Gleam Glow, Bare Blush and Sweetest Thing, and the shade are gorgeous. Gleam Glow is what I have above and it comes out like a liquid gold that is going to be a go-to during summer.

The final product I have is this one for lips, a moisturising oil, that provides a light tint of colour as well as moisture. It comes in one shade that is designed to be universally flattering and adapts to the natural lip colour. I find on me this develops into quite a vibrant pink shade, but is still light, sheer and comfortable on the lips. It's quite glossy, but once this dries down you are left with a tint on the lips.

As I mentioned this is only available at Farmers in NZ, both online and in store. I love the packaging of the entire range, the metallic purple and silver is really modern and quite unique for Estée Lauder. There is one other product in this range that I haven't tried; the Priming Moisture Eye Balm (NZD $95.00).

Have you seen or tried this new range? What product would be your pick?
