Lipstick lovers unite, the limited life M.A.C Blue Nectar Collection released last month in NZ is full with a large array of lipstick and plushglass, with some really interesting shades. I'm not quite sure where the 'blue nectar' thing comes from, but the imagery for the collection is stunning, and to be fair, I always love a good M.A.C collection!
I was sent two items from the collection - one of the Plushglass in the shade In Abundance and a lipstick in Courting Seduction. In Abundance* (NZD $48.00) is described as a bright coral pink, which has a sheer formula to it. It is such a fab shade as we come into Spring and Summer. The Plushglass formulas are a bit lighter than other glosses from M.A.C and aren't too sticky or goopy on the lips.
Courting Seduction* (NZD $40.00) is a seriously pretty shade although it really doesn't suit my complexion at the moment. Described as a creamy pastel lavender, this is one of the three shades that have an amplified formula, the rest being matte. The Amplified formula is really nice as it packs the pigment and colour, lasts on the lips but isn't overly drying like the matte formulas can be.

The line-up includes 12 Lipstick shades (four are repromoted) and 6 Plushglass shades. From left to right are: Courting Seduction (above), Give In (creamy natural pink, amplified), Riot House (light vivid orange, matte - repromote from Osbourne Collection), Lured In (midtone pastel purple, amplified), Sweet Venom (intense pink coral, matte), Ablaze (bright apricot cream, matte - repromote from All About Orange Collection), Breathing Fire (bright warm fuchsia, matte), Invite Intrigue (cool bright fuchsia, matte), Barbeque (vivid orange red, matte - repromote from Toledo Collection), Intoxica (bright raspberry red, matte), Heroine (bright purple, matte - repromote/permanent collection) and Lust Extract (deep royal purple, matte).
In the Plushglass there is: Fulfilled (full-blush creamy pink, cream), Fashion Fanatic (creamy pale pink), Robust (sheer bubble gum pink), Ample Pink (full, soft, rose, cream - permanent), In Abundance (above), and Full For You (ultra-cool pink with silver pearl, pearl).
While I don't think this is most innovative or memorable collection they have come out with, I think some of those lipstick shades are amazing, particularly Breathing Fire and Barbeque and it's always good when they bring back other limited edition shades.
