ANTIPODES | Cleanser, Serum + Day Cream Skincare Review

ANTIPODES | Skincare Review Hallelujah Lime & Patchouli Cleanser, Chia & Kiwi Seed Superfood Serum + Vanilla Pod Day Cream - CassandraMyee

Antipodes is a brand I always hear amazing things about from people all over the world, but surprisingly I've never used any of their products before! Obviously, this had to be rectified, and I was over the moon to receive a few products from the range to try out. Over the past couple of months, I've been using these in my normal skincare regime and I've gotta say, they have not disappointed!

Hallelujah Lime & Patchouli Cleanser [200ml]* | RRP $42.90
I used to be all about the foam cleansers, but over the past year or so I've noticed my skin doesn't get as oily as it used to, and sometimes foam cleansers can be quite harsh on the skin. I've had this cream cleanser sitting in my shower since I received it and I've been using it at least 4 times a week in the mornings and really enjoying it. The scent is quite subtle, and the cleanser feels very nourishing on the skin and doesn't strip the skin of its natural oils. It's extremely gentle and I imagine this would be great for sensitive skins, as well as normal/combination skin too.

Chia & Kiwi Seed Superfood Serum [30ml]* | RRP $49.50
This is a brand new product that was released at the start of this month into the Antipodes range. Not only is it a beautiful skincare product (more on it soon), it also marks a collaboration with World Wide Fund for Nature NZ by donating a total $60,000 to the amazing cause from sales of this serum. I think it's an amazing cause, and it's great to see a brand like Antipodes partner up with WWF.

Now onto what I thought of this serum... it contains chia seed oil and NZ kiwifruit oil which are proven to be very nutritious to the skin. Even though I do have oily/combination skin, using oils actually really helps my skin. I use this at night (probably 2-3 times a week), after cleansing and toning, and before moisturising (although sometimes I skip the moisturising and use this purely as an oil moisturiser as it is quite rich for the skin). I've had no breakouts from it, instead the mornings after when I have used this my skin looks a lot plumper and just more nourished. If you have dry skin, you could get away with one or two drops of this under your moisturiser, but for me, it is a little too oily during the day, but at night I think it's superb.

Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream* (50ml) | RRP $58.50
As much as I really love the Chia & Kiwi Seed Serum, I think this has got to be my favourite out of the three; it is a beautiful day cream. I was sceptical at first, as I do lean more oily, something really hydrating might be a bit too thick for me, but after using it for the past few weeks I've got to say it's done wonders for my skin. It's quite a thick day cream, and I find it feels more like a night cream, and a little bit definitely goes a long way with it. It feels luxurious on the skin and sinks in almost immediately without leaving a greasy film on the skin, so it works so well under makeup. Even though I do get oily throughout the day, this helps to balance out the drier areas on my face and it doesn't accentuate the oily parts either. It's a total winner in my books and if you have dry skin I don't think I could recommend this enough!

Overall I am beyond impressed, I knew the products would be great but I am now left wanting to try so much more from the range! If you are interested in natural, New Zealand skincare, look no further than the Antipodes range.

Have you used any Antipodes skincare products? What would you recommend I try next?
