LIVING NATURE | Thickening Mascara in Jet Black - Review

LIVING NATURE | Thickening Mascara in Jet Black - Review - CassandraMyee

If natural makeup is your thing, look no further than New Zealand brand, Living Nature. I've talked about Living Nature a few times on CM, and have reviewed some of their skincare items but this was my first foray into their makeup products. I was sent the Thickening Mascara in Jet Black* to try out, so here are a few thoughts on it.

I like dramatic mascaras, and you'll find me reaching for Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara basically everyday, but for a more natural 'no makeup' makeup day this mascara from Living Nature fits the bill. It says it in the name - 'thickening', and in that regards it definitely delivers. I don't find it very lengthening on the lashes, instead it coats the lashes and adds thickness (especially to the base of the lashes) and has super dense black colour. The wand is a natural bristle wand, with the bristles quite spaced apart twisting up like a spiral around the middle. I find this grabs onto the lashes well, but I don't like it for the bottom lashes, because mine are very light and sparse and the mascara just tends to get more on the skin than the lashes. A pro is the fact that this doesn't clump up at all, it's fragrance free so it's not going to irritate, and it removes easily with a micellar water or an oil based makeup remover.

I definitely don't find myself reaching for this everyday, but if you are someone who doesn't like to wear a lot of makeup and goes for a more fresh and natural look, this might be the mascara for you. You can find this online from Living Nature for NZD $41.00, and it also comes in brown, for an even more natural look.

What do you think of this mascara? Do you opt for thickening or lengthening when mascara shopping?
