LUST HAVE IT | Women's Beauty Box August, September + October '14 - End of Month Reviews

LUST HAVE IT // Women's Beauty Box August, September + October '14 | End of Month Reviews - CassandraMyee

This is a long, long time overdue, I've just been a little out of blogging sync the past month due to a lot of travelling, plus these arrived late and so did the October one, so it all threw me off a bit. But finally here are my thoughts on the items I got in the August and September Lust Have It Women's Beauty Boxes*. You can see all the products in more detail in the unboxing post here with swatches as well of the makeup items. I've also combined this with my End of Month Review of October's because the November bag arrived much earlier in the month than I would have thought!

AUGUST

Eleven Australia Miracle Hair Treatment // [RRP $24.95 (15ml)]
I featured this in my Most Loved November because I have seriously been loving this hair treatment! Firstly it smells just like summer should, and it leaves my hair feeling super soft after I use it. It's become the final step in my hair routine, after styling, whether that's curling, straightening, whatever, I pump this into my hand and spread it through the hair focusing on the ends and smoothing any frizzies I have at the top of my head. I'll totally be buying this once I run out and really want to try more from the Eleven brand now!

Sasy n Savy Vitamin Enriched Facial Recovery Masque // [RRP $55.00 (100ml)]
This was bit of strange mask I found! The formula felt just like a normal moisturiser and once applied to the skin it almost sunk in and looked as though there was no mask on just a thin film of product. After about 10 minutes I washed it off and to be honest I didn't feel or see much difference in my skin. I think perhaps for dry skin this would be a good one to aid moisture but for me it didn't do a heck of a lot!

Bioderma Crealine H20 // [RRP $29.99 (250ml)]
I was super excited to finally try this out, and it was as great as everyone says but pretty much identical to the Garnier Micellar Water which I absolutely love and have been using for months and months! It does a great job at removing face and eye makeup with ease, but I'll be sticking withe the much cheaper and much easier to get to NZ, Garnier one.

Marsk Eyeshadow Brush Pro-Line // [RRP $28.95]
I've been loving this brush and it's great for packing colour onto the lids before blending it out. The bristles are soft but quite dense, so that's why it does such a good job at packing on colour. It washes up really well and I've had no sheding bristles (not that I expected that from a $30 brush!)

Essenzza Fuss Free Naturals Facial Cleansing Wipes + Bonus Pack // [RRP $6.95 for 25 wipes + RRP $2.50 for mini pack of 8]

As far as wipes go these are pretty great! They have a textured surface which makes getting rid of the bulk of my makeup really easily. I took the mini pack away with me to use on the plane and they worked really well to just refresh and clean my skin while travelling but without drying it out.

SEPTEMBER

Model Co. Lip Lacquer Liquid Lipstick in Creme Brulee // [RRP $24.00 (3g)]

I was really excited to see this lip lacquer from Model Co in the bag! I really like the smell, super sweet like strawberries and cream sort of scent, and the colour I received is a lovely nude. It goes on semi-opaque and you can't really build it up or it just feels a bit heavy on the lips. It has an extremely glossy finish and doesn't really dry down at all like other lip lacquers I have used in the past. Despite it being glossy it isn't at all sticky which is a mega plus.

Urban Skincare Co. Repair + Body Balm // [RRP $12.95 (35ml)]
So this promised to be a balm and it definitely wasn't that! When I think balm, I think thick, very hydrating, but instead this was more of a lotion and was very lightweight. I think for dry skin it didn't do a very amazing job and I think it is a tad over priced for what it is. I do like the scent and it is good as a light lotion but nothing really repairing about it.

Uriage Surgras Liquide Cleansing Gel // [RRP $34.95 (400ml)]
This cleanser really reminded me of the Avene Cleanance Gel Cleanser, it had a similar smell and worked basically like it as well. As far as a cleanser go it was good, non-drying or stripping and worked well to rid my face of excess dirt and makeup that may have been left over from the pre-cleanse.

Glam By Manicare Express! 3 in 1 Nail Art Pen in Sparkling Silver // [RRP $9.99]
So I've been a naughty blogger and I haven't got round to trying this out yet but I will use it before Christmas and do a whole NOTD post featuring it letting you all know how I got on with it.

The Cosmetics Kitchen Macadamia Wax Creme Highlighter // [RRP $24.50 (6g)]
At first I had no idea what this product was when I opened the bag, but on reading the card it explained that it was in fact a highlighter. I actually have been really enjoying this; the bronzed tone of it looks relatively natural on the skin and really enhanced a more bronzed complexion, perfect for the summer time! I find it easy to blend out onto the skin and it leaves a gorgeous sheen on the cheeks.

OCTOBER

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi Purpose Dry Oil // [RRP $24.95/$39.95 for 50ml/100ml]
To be honest I didn't use this a much at all, really just as a body oil/moisturiser so I can't comment on its effectiveness on the face or hair. As a body oil it felt lovely, but it did take around 10 minutes to really soak into the skin, and it was left well moisturised. I'm not sure about using it on my face as I would much prefer an oil that was solely recommended for the face as I am scared of breakouts happening.

Montagne Jeunesse Glacial Clay Spa Mask // [RRP $4.99 for one mask]
I have a history of not really getting on with this style of sheet masks. Most of them either are far too small or end up just slipping and sliding around on my face and not doing much else. This one definitely changed my mind though; it was really big, even too big for my face, and it had the clay mask soaked into the material so when you placed it on it really adhered to the skin. After using it my skin felt a lot smooth and looked clearer. I will definitely check out more of these mask as they are a great price.

So Susan Intense Eye Shadow Palette with Coated Pigments // [RRP $35.00]
I will admit I didn't really have high hopes for these shadows, but they did perform really well, although not quite to their $35.00 price tag. The packaging felt extremely cheap and flimsy, but the shadows themselves had a good amount of pigmentation and really did blend nicely together on the lids. They weren't overly packed with shimmer either, although they did have a lot of fall out from the pan. I think they are far too overpriced though and you're better buying something else.

Colour By TBN Lipstick in 886 A Kiss Is Still A Kiss // [RRP $3.50]
This was Revlon-esque in packaging, but unfortunately not the same sort of quality. The pigmentation of the lipstick did surprise me though, it is very creamy and glides on with ease but it doesn't last that long on the lips and rubs off very easy. The colour wasn't exactly to my liking either and I'm not sure that the orangey-toned brown really suited me.

Inika Black Kohl Pencil with Sharpener // [RRP $29.00]
I've never tried anything from this brand previously so was excited to see it included in the October bag. It is a pretty standard kohl pencil, goes on very smooth and creamy and doesn't drag on the lid. You can really smudge it out, especially great for the lower lash line. All round a great eye liner, but I'm not sure if I would say it was worth the $30 price tag.

Glamourflage Awesome Eva Eye Mask // [RRP $7.95]
This was the handiest thing I could have received in this month's bag, I took it with me on the plane to the US and I used it a heck of a lot! Although it wasn't one of the main products it was definitely the most used, plus the leopard print is totally up my street!

Phew, that was a long one! I hope you don't mind that it got condensed all into one post, I just have so much I want to get up this month on the blog for you all! If you would like to try Lust Have It, you can use the code CASSMYEE for $5 off your first bag, that it AUD $19.95 a month.

Have you used any of these products? What did you think about them?
