BH COSMETICS | 10 Color Glamorous Blush Palette - Review + Swatches

BH COSMETICS // 10 Color Glamorous Blush Palette - Review + Swatches - cassandramyee

BH Cosmetics are king when it comes to affordable and massive palettes. They do the 120 Color Eyeshadow palettes as well as 88 pan ones, and also more humble and travel friendly palettes. They pretty much have every colour under the sun and are pretty great quality considering what you get. Recently on NZ Sale* they had BH on and I was drawn in by this 10 Color Blush Palette for only $15.

My obsession with blushes has grown a lot over the past 6 or so month, it seems to be part of my makeup stash that is building at a rapid pace and I ain't complaining about it! I was instantly drawn in by the colours of this one, especially the pinks and the darker berries. Overall there are ten shades, five mattes and five shimmers and they range from nudes to dark reds. A blush palette packed like this is really all you need and for makeup beginners, or makeup lovers I think this palette is a must.

The pigmentation of these are overall really great; the shimmers seem to have a bit more punch to them, but sometimes this can be too much. Where as some of the matte shades initially seem quite sheer but they are easily buildable to your desired colour and are my favourites from the the lot. All of them blend out well onto the skin but this is helped along with a really great brush - that being the Real Techniques Blush Brush [which I swear by, and everyone should have in their brush collection]

TOP ROW
The top row consists of three shimmers (the first, second and fourth swatch) with the other two being mattes (third and fifth). The first two are very light and work really well as highlights rather than a blush colour. The fifth colour is a gorgeous strawberry red shade and completely matte; when used lightly it looks very natural as it is the sort of colour your cheeks tend to flush naturally.

BOTTOM ROW
The bottom row consists of more darker, punchier colours with two shimmers (the first and fourth swatch) and three mattes (second, third, and fifth). As you can see from the swatch the first blush is insanely pigmented, like eyeshadow level pigmentation so this one only needs the lightest of hands with a brush to get colour pay-off on the cheeks. The rest on this row are my favourites, including the lilac which is just stunning and a nice change from the other shades.

This BH blush palette isn't the first of its kind I have in my stash as I already have one I brought from Trade Me that was totally unbranded but almost identical in packaging. I suspect this is one of the many you can get on eBay for less than $10, most are actually around the $6 mark. The quality between them both is quite different as the unbranded ones are more powdery and chalky feeling and just don't blend out as nicely as the BH Cosmetics palette, so keep that in mind.

BH do ship worldwide from their US site, but it is a little steep and starts at USD $21.95, but if you are buying a number of items or going in with a friend it works out pretty cheap across the board. This palette is USD $14.95. You can also find BH on Beauty Joint but they haven't got this particular palette in stock. But if you want to wait I am sure NZ Sale will have BH on again soon, as it if often on sale on that site (and is always very tempting to me...)

Have you used a BH blush palette before, or anything else from the brand? What colours take your fancy from the palette?
