If you are a regular reader of CM you will know that I love a good beauty box, and when I was contacted by Lust Have It to try out their Women's Beauty Box* service I jumped right on board as I am a sucker for these things. I had a heard a bit about Lust Have It after watching Chloe Morello talk about her own box that you can buy one off from the site, but I was totally unaware that they shipped outside Australia, so us NZ girls can enjoy this service as well!
This services works exactly like the other beauty subscription boxes, but the bonus with this one is it is actually cheaper than other NZ ones (such as Violet Box and Goodie Box) and is only AUD $19.95 a month with free shipping. It promises 5-6 deluxe samples, but in most cases you get at least one full sized product.
I love how this one comes packaged, not in a traditional box like the others, instead it comes in a really handy reusable clear pouch with a zip fastening. I can see this becoming quite a good makeup bag!
So what products came in the June box? Technically there are 7 different things; 4 full sized items and 3 sample sized products. I am really excited to see some brands I know and have actually wanted to try for a while now!
001. Teez Trendy Cosmetics Head Over Heels Nail Lacquer in Atomic Dragonfly // [RRP $18.00 (7ml)]
I was very excited to see a full sized nail polish in the bag and this is a brand I have not heard of nor tried before, but now I definitely want to try more. The packaging of the polish is amazing and I love the overall design, and the actual colour does not disappoint either. It is deep shimmery navy shade that has a super wide brush that pretty much covers the whole nail in one swipe. It promises a high gloss finish and no chipping for three days - I sure will be putting this one to the test over the next few weeks!
002. John Plunkett Essentials Glyco Peel // [RRP $29.95 (15ml)]
Old John has been doing the subscription box rounds as I received this in the June Violet Box and have been giving it a try over the past week and it seems like quite a good skincare product. This is a clinical strength night-time exfoliator with 25% glycolic acid which you apply after cleansing and toning but before moisturising and it works to remove dead skin cells and stimulate cell regeneration.
003. La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo [Full Sized RRP $27.95 (40ml)]
Now I was beyond excited to see a sample of this in the box as I have been wanting to try this for a very long time and was almost about to buy this! This is a corrective and unclogging anti-imperfection cream that you can apply in the morning or night to the whole face or just oily area. It promises to unclog sebum-blocked pores in 30 days and reduce severe imperfections, such as acne. I can't wait to try this out!
004. Orly Nail File // [RRP $1.65 per set]
These are mini medium grit nail files and I can see these ones going straight into my handbag!
005. Orly Toe Separators // [RRP $4.95]
Pretty self explanatory! Always handy to have some of these lying around!
006. Nuxe Creme Nirvanesque First Expressions Lines Cream // [Full Size RRP $49.99 (50ml)]
I've been wanting to try some Nuxe products for a while, so these sachets are a welcomed addition. This particular cream is designed for men and women under 40 as the first expression lines start to appear and this should help to smooth, de-stress and relax the skin.
007. Nuxe Nirvanesque First Expressions Lines Eye Contour Cream // [Full Sized RRP $44.99 (15ml)]
This is an eye cream designed to smooth away first wrinkles and reduce dark circles. Obviously it is a little difficult to get results from these sort of sachet samples but it is nice to try it at least once.
Also included in the pouch, but not on the card, was this voucher for an Australian food box type service, but this is unusable in NZ unfortunately.
The total value of all the items in this box worked out at around AUD $64.62, which is around $68 NZD, so for a box that is only $19.95 I think it is really great value. I really like that this particular box has brands that I have heard of before, and a few new ones which I think is a great mix.
If you are interested in signing up for Lust Have It, you can use the code CASSMYEE for $5 off your first Women's Beauty Box; it's a great service and you can cancel it at any time (did that sound enough like an infomercial to you!?) But in all honesty I am really stoked with the products in this June offering and in a month's time I will do a full review on each product, as I do with other subscription boxes.
Have you received a Lust Have It box before? What did you think about the service?
