As I am sat here taking a lot of blog photos of the products sent over by PR companies and brands (which I am so thankful), and bits that I have bought myself, I was struck by this overwhelming sensation to write out some thoughts that I have been having for a while about the judgements passed on those who love makeup and own a lot of it.

I'm sure that most of you would be familiar with beauty subscription boxes, but have you seen a period one?! I had heard about them from overseas bloggers but never thought of there being an NZ offering until Blaine Box contacted me asking if I wanted to try out one of their monthly period subscription boxes*. I think it is such an amazing idea, I mean we have to buy tampons and pads each month, so why not have it arrive with a few extra goodies thrown in with them to make that time of the month a bit more bearable.

Welcome to 2016 everyone! We made it (all in one piece I hope?!) I was going to crack right back into the beauty babble today from my week break but I thought I would actually do a little reflection on 2015 and update you all on what I've been up to over Christmas and New Years. Plus a little on what I'd like 2016 to bring. If you're not fussed about my life ramblings, check back on Friday (the 8th) for a brand new beauty post, but for today here's what I've been up to...

I'm just going to steer away from the beauty side of things for today, as I feel like writing a few thoughts down in a little life update. There almost wasn't going to be a post today - usually I am super organised (I'm talking spreadsheets with blog posts ready to go and schedules etc, you get the drill) but over the past couple of weeks things have been a bit unsettling as I packed up all of my stuff (there's a lot...) and moved it all the way from the South Island to the North, to my venture in Auckland. So here are some musings on moving.

Now I get a lot of deliveries, but one that I am always beyond excited to find in the letter box is my monthly Happy Mail subscription from A Beautiful Mess. I've talked about it a few times before (unboxings here and here), and today I am bringing you the unboxing for the February addition. I honestly didn't think that the last month's could be topped, but this one is the best one yet and you'll soon see why...

It's been a fair while since I did a good shop on iHerb, my last big haul was way back in July and it also featured a lot of e.l.f. Cosmetics products, much like this one does! Around these parts, beauty subscription boxes are the norm, but I've discovered a new subscription service that is absolutely unique, featuring another thing that I love - stationery.
